Our Story

The history of Av Rani Group dates back to 1981 by the founder Irutham Velanganny. The seed of Av Rani was sown in the form of traditional ‘mom and pop’ sundry mart at Taman Sri Selayang. It eventually developed into Av Rani Store Sdn Bhd in 1994, Av Rani Mini Market in 2005, Av Rani Tobacco Trading Sdn Bhd in 2005, A.V Star Sdn Bhd in 2009 and Av Rani Supermart Sdn Bhd in 2010.

Who we are:

To understand Av Rani Tobacco Trading Sdn Bhd is to understand who we are, as it is not only a part of us but also an integral part of our family. Our roots dates back to 1994, although the company itself was founded in 2005 as Av Rani Tobacco House, a Trademark retail brand by Av Rani Tobacco Trading Sdn Bhd, located at the heart of Batu Caves to sell tobacco, cigars, lighters,match box and its accessories, etc in the market of East and West Malaysia. Having said , industry experience in tobacco, cigars and lighters and match box business, we have built a reputation for our ability to consistently distribute the products being the sole distributor/agent of tobacco such as Harvest, Mac Baren, etc, lighters such as Cricket, Alladdin, etc, and of cigars such as Davidoff, Cohiba, Villiger, Balmoral and so on. At Av Rani Tobacco House, guests will be greeted exclusively with convectional in-store and convenient online order form purchasing experiences that has been carefully shaped to make the pleasure of success a sweet and memorable one.

Achievement

Year 2020 and 2021 had been a successful year as we ventured into our product of Match Box and rolling tobacco filters. With much effort we brought in our Singa Match Box and Palmer Filters in the year 2020 and 2021 respectively.

Singa Match box : We are proud to say that our wooden match box consist of wooden match sticks designed to light with a soft strike and it has the ability to withhold the flame for longer duration with no doubt.

Palmer Filters :Palmer filters we have 3 ranges and 1 range of tube. We have fitted in more filters with world class quality in matters of the gum and the quality of the paper so that smokers will enjoy their tobacco with pleasure. We have namely Palmer king size filter, Palmer slim filter, Palmer Regular Filter and Palmer Tube.
